Spam and scam. Two of the ugliest words if you’re using the Internet legitimately. Spam infiltrates your inbox and scam violates your browser.
Thus it’s terrifically good news to hear that 75% percent of spam and scam has been halted. Apparently much of the bad activity was traced to a hosting company called, McColo Corp. According to Security Fix of the Washington Post, “For the past four months, Security Fix has been gathering data from the security industry about McColo Corp., a San Jose, Calif., based Web hosting service whose client list experts say includes some of the most disreputable cyber-criminal gangs in business today.”
McColo Corp.was promptly shut down by its Internet providers.
This should be ample warning to those who send spam and engage in scams. These are both illegal activities and perpetrators will be found out, shut down and brought before a court of law.
